The Company was founded on January 1986 by the initiative of two big manufacturers: TRW, American leader in mechanical engineering and airspace field and RIVA-CALZONI, historic Italian company. The strategy of these two industrial giants was to establish a company able to sell their product lines dynamically and modern, as it actually happens by RCD. For this purpose, the Company had from the beginning the promotion, sale and after service of their Power steerings gears, Ram steering cylinders as well as their accessories. The operative area is located in Zola Predosa (Bologna) in a strategic position for the national and international connections. From 1993, RCD gives continuity to the manufacturing of all CALZONI components and later starting from 1995, it shares in two divisions, as also two pneumatic tools lines for heavy industry and “automotive” of high standard quality are commercialized. In 1996, the activity of the "servo-assisted steering systems" division enriches itself with RCD patents for steering systems assembled on trucks with three or more axles and on industrial or agricultural trailers. These are completely supplied to the customer by keep innovating as peculiarity of founders history. Today RCD, thanks to its experience of tradition, it operates throughout all the Mediterranean basin, Europe and Canada for satisfying customer problematics that request technical solution perfectly studied and customized to their individual needs.
